February 2018 special 1 day Cluck I workshop for UC Davis Veterinary school Behavior Club students.
Limited spots so YOU receive very personalized instruction at the workshop.
Our wonderful hens will allow you to learn or practice the important principles of training without the worries of attending to your dog while the instructor speaks.
Workshops are an intense two days of instruction with the hens.
Depending on venue, workshops are 10 to 22 working spots and the same number of auditing spots.
ALL workshops
Cluck I, a beginner workshop
No experience needed
Cluck II, an advanced workshop
Completion of Cluck I or instructors approval
Cluck I learning goals:
Learn about classical and operant conditioning using games. And strengthen your hand eye coordination which is needed for successful training.
Learn about antecedents and how to choose the secondary and primary reinforcers you will use with your animal.
Learn how to set up a training environment conducive to learning success for both you and the chicken.
Learn how to create training plans using criteria setting, splitting criteria, sticking to short sessions, remaining still and quiet while training, timing and rate of reinforcement.
Learn how to use shaping, capturing an offered behavior and systematic desensitization via targeting and a fun discrimination task.
Our LIVE workshops offer both hands-on working spots and auditing spots.
